Fire Alarm Division Manager – Full Time
Associated Fire Protection, Inc. (AFP) — a trusted fire protection contractor since 1973 — is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Division Manager to launch, lead, and grow our Fire Alarm Division in North Carolina.

What You’ll Do
• Perform and oversee NFPA 72 inspections, testing, and reporting, including signing and certifying inspection documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NC Fire Prevention Code, manufacturer requirements, and AHJ standards.
• Lead the development and day-to-day operations of AFP’s Fire Alarm Division.
• Train, mentor, and supervise fire alarm technicians as the division grows.
• Oversee fire alarm service, repairs, and deficiency corrections identified during inspections.
• Support and supervise new fire alarm system installations, including coordination with project teams and field crews.
• Work closely with AFP leadership, service managers, and project managers to align fire alarm services with sprinkler system work.
• Manage scheduling, quality control, documentation, and inspection records.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, AHJs, and vendors by consistently living out AFP’s core values.
• Help establish procedures, standards, and best practices for long-term division success.
What You Bring
• Active North Carolina Fire Alarm/Low voltage license issued by NCBEEC (required).
• Ability to independently perform and sign NFPA 72 inspection reports.
• Strong working knowledge of fire alarm systems, codes, and testing procedures.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Desire to help build, train, and develop a team — not just perform inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
• NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems.

Fire Sprinkler Foreman – Full-time
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead and oversee field installation and testing of fire sprinkler systems. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills and experience with all types of systems and projects ranging from new construction, renovations to tenant improvements. The Fire Sprinkler Foreman is expected to ensure safety, quality, and timely execution of all tasks, while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fire sprinkler systems according to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with existing fire sprinkler systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to complete projects on time.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards during all operations.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
- Assist in project scheduling and coordination with other trades.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician or similar role in the fire protection industry.

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Fire Sprinkler Designer/CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems for all types of commercial projects. Strong AutoCAD skills and use of basic MS Office applications is required. Specific training and certification in Fire Sprinkler System Design and layout will be provided by AFP. Key Responsibilities:
- Company will provide on the job training of Fire Sprinkler System design and code requirements.
- Provide design of fire sprinkler systems for a wide range of projects using AutoCAD.
- Provide redline field revisions for plans based on coordination and field surveys.
- Submit plans and obtain all necessary approvals for projects as directed by the Project Manager.
- Assist with onsite field surveys and trade coordination for field installation prior to fabrication.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Fire Sprinkler Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this entry-level role, you will assist the Fabrication Shop Team in the fabrication of fire sprinkler systems, material deliveries and the day-to-day operations of the AFP Warehouse. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fire protection industry while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the handling, organizing and/or fabrication materials such as piping, fittings, valves and other fire sprinkler system components.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and weld pipe to specified lengths using a diverse range of fabrication equipment and techniques.
- Assist with ensuring tools, machines and equipment is cleaned, well-maintained and ready for use.
- Maintain an awareness of any material defects or safety hazards with materials and or equipment and report any issues immediately.
- As needed, provide field support by delivering materials on job sites as well as assisting with installation support from time to time as needed.
- Complete all daily shop duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in maintaining a well-organized, safe, and clean shop environment.
- Assist in movement of inventory in the shop and to job sites and inventory returned from the job sites.
- Assist with routine maintenance of AFP facilities and property as needed.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Shop Foreman or Purchasing Manager as needed.
